A standing box for the three Japan partners Meta named at launch, with each status dated as of November 1, 2026:
- Money Forward ME: live per vendor. Money Forward's support site said on October 24, 2026 that provision of a connector for use in Muse had started, and the company published its press release on October 26. No in-app sighting from a Japan account has appeared in any sweep since.
- Mercari: not live. No live claim in any sweep from October 27 to 31. Next check: Mercari's FY2027.6 first quarter results on Thursday, November 12, 2026, per Mercari's own IR announcement.
- Ticket Pia: not live. No live claim, and no date of any kind.
- Next update to this box: after November 12, with what Mercari's results did or did not say about Muse. The update runs even if the answer is still nothing shipped.
The short version
Muse launched in Japan on October 23, 2026. Meta named three local partners that day: Mercari, Money Forward ME, and Ticket Pia. Named did not mean live. The Japan launch post on this site filed all three as announced, not live, and told readers not to go looking for the Mercari button that week (https://museexplained.com/guide/muse-japan-launch/).
One of the three has moved since. Money Forward ME started its connector in late October, on its own announcement. The other two have not moved at all in the record checked through October 31.
Mercari is the one with a date on the calendar, and the date in circulation is wrong. This site's own watch list carried November 4, taken from earnings calendar listings. On October 31, checking that date against Mercari's own investor relations material before publishing, the primary source said something else: November 12. The correction is in the title of this post because the wrong date is the part most likely to be copied.
The November 4 date does not survive Mercari's own IR
TipRanks carries Mercari as scheduled to report earnings on November 4, 2026, marked confirmed. That listing is the only Mercari-specific support for November 4 that the October 31 searches found. A second November 4 result in the same searches was for Mercado Libre, a different company in a different country, which gives some idea of how earnings calendar data gets tangled.
Mercari's own IR site tells a different story. Mercari published its FY2027.6 Q1 Financial Results Announcement on October 2, 2026. For the first quarter, July to September 2026, it gives one date: Thursday, November 12, 2026, at 15:30 Japan time, scheduled. The same announcement says there will be no earnings presentation for the first quarter results.
That is the primary source, from the company whose results these are, published a month ahead. It outranks a calendar aggregator. This page therefore treats November 12 as the check date and November 4 as an error in circulation, including in this site's own earlier watch notes. If Mercari moves the date, Mercari's IR page is where that change will appear, and this post will follow it there.
November 12 is still not a connector launch date. Meta has given no date for a Mercari connector, and Mercari has given no date for one either. The October 2 announcement also removes the most plausible stage for a surprise reveal: there is no earnings presentation for these results, so whatever Mercari publishes on November 12 arrives as documents, not as a live event. A connector mention could sit inside those documents. Nothing promises one will.
What Money Forward ME actually did
Money Forward's own support site published a notice on October 24, 2026: Money Forward ME had started providing a connector usable in Muse, so ME data can be used inside a Muse conversation. Money Forward Corp followed with its press release on October 26, 2026, saying the integration had begun.
Per that release, the connection is for data reference only. With the user's permission, Muse can review spending trends and asset composition from ME data and help plan toward goals. Muse cannot change or update ME data through it. It cannot be used to buy or sell financial products, or to make withdrawals or transfers. Linked financial institution credentials are not shared with Muse, and the user can disconnect at any time.
That is a real claim, from the company that owns the product, with product detail behind it. It is also the whole of the evidence. No sweep from October 27 to 31 found a first-person sighting of the Money Forward ME connector inside a Japan Muse account. This site files it the same way it filed Agoda in Singapore: live per vendor, not independently confirmed in the app. Those are different states, and the difference is the point of keeping a ledger at all.
Money Forward also set the pattern for what a live claim looks like. It did not come from Meta. It came from the partner, in public, with its own name and date on it. The Singapore launch followed the same shape: Meta named eight partners on October 27, Agoda was the first to report itself live per partner press, and the other seven stayed progressive in local coverage (https://museexplained.com/guide/muse-singapore-launch/).
What Mercari has not done yet
Mercari has made no equivalent announcement. Searches run on October 31 found no live claim for a Mercari Muse connector and no Mercari vendor announcement about Muse. The Mercari-specific coverage describes a policy of pursuing integration, which is the October 23 position restated. In every sweep this site ran from October 27 to 31, Mercari stayed in the same place: a partner in progress, with no start date confirmed.
Mercari held an event on October 28. No connector announcement and no live claim came out of it in the October 27 to 28 watch, and nothing in the October 29 to 31 sweeps changed that. I am not going to describe an agenda or an outcome for that event beyond what the record supports. The record supports one sentence: October 28 passed, and Mercari did not announce Muse.
That leaves the starting point exactly where Meta left it on October 23. The launch coverage uses the same family of words for all three partners: working to integrate, working on integrations, planned. Singapore coverage used progressive for the same state. All of those words mean some connections arrive later, in an order Meta has not published, on dates Meta has not given.
There is a race buried in the title of this post. Mercari would be Japan's second local connector only if it goes live before Ticket Pia. Nothing in the record says it will. Ticket Pia has no date and no earnings announcement in this story, which makes it easy to forget. Quiet is not the same as behind. If Ticket Pia announces first, this page will say so, and Mercari becomes the third name, still waiting.
Why November 12 is a check date, not a launch date
Results day is the next dated moment when Mercari publishes, in its own name, what its business is doing. If Mercari has anything to say about the Muse integration this quarter, November 12 is when the documents land. That makes it worth a dated check. It does not make it worth a countdown.
There is a practical difference between the two dates that readers should keep. November 4, the calendar date, would have come and gone with nothing from Mercari, and a reader watching it would have learned nothing except that a calendar was wrong. November 12, Mercari's own date, will produce actual Mercari documents. What they say about Muse, including nothing, is a fact worth recording either way. This post commits to that update: results published, connector status restated, even if the Muse count in the documents is zero.
If Mercari does mention Muse on November 12, the wording will matter more than any headline built on it. Working on it, begun integration, and available to connect are three different claims. Money Forward used the second kind, with detail. Anything weaker from Mercari leaves the box at the top of this page unchanged.
What a real live claim would have to look like
Two kinds of evidence would move Mercari from not live to live on this page.
The first is a vendor announcement like Money Forward's: Mercari saying, under its own name, that the integration has begun or is available, with enough product detail to tell a reader what the connection does. A partner list is not that. A launch recap naming Mercari as a partner is not that. Both already exist, from October 23, and neither made Mercari live.
The second is a first-person in-app sighting: a Japan account holder showing the Mercari connect option inside their own Muse app, with the date they saw it. That standard is the same one this site applies to the Wonder rollout and to Singapore prices. A screenshot from one account proves that account. It does not prove a general rollout, and this page will label it that way. It still beats a recap.
In Japan and seeing a Mercari connect option in your Muse app? That is this week's Japan Connector Check, the standing reader report for this watch. Send the sighting with the date you saw it. A partner list or a launch article does not count, and the first sighting that meets the standard above changes the box at the top of this page.
Ticket Pia, the third name
Ticket Pia is one of the largest ticket sales sites in Japan, per its own site. In the October 31 searches, Ticket Pia's own site carried no Muse mention at all, and no Ticket Pia vendor announcement about Muse appeared. Meta has said nothing new about Ticket Pia since naming it on October 23.
It stays in the box for one reason: completeness is what makes a ledger trustworthy. A watch that only lists the partner with a date coming up will look right right up until the quiet partner moves first. Ticket Pia: not live, no date, checked again on October 31. When that changes, it changes here.
Quick answers
Is Mercari connected to Muse in Japan now?
No. Searches and sweeps checked through October 31, 2026 found no live claim and no Mercari announcement. Mercari was named as a partner in progress at the Japan launch on October 23, described as pursuing integration, and that status has not changed in the record.
Which Japan partner is live?
Money Forward ME, per its own vendor. Its support site said on October 24, 2026 that a connector for use in Muse had started, and its press release followed on October 26. The integration is data reference only, financial institution credentials are not shared with Muse, and no in-app sighting has corroborated it yet, so this site labels it live per vendor.
What happens on November 4?
Nothing from Mercari, on Mercari's own schedule. Earnings calendars, TipRanks among them, list Mercari as reporting on November 4, 2026. Mercari's own IR announcement, published October 2, 2026, schedules its FY2027.6 first quarter results for Thursday, November 12, 2026. This site follows the primary source.
What happens on November 12?
Mercari publishes its FY2027.6 first quarter results, for July to September 2026, at 15:30 Japan time, per its October 2 announcement. There will be no earnings presentation for these results, per the same announcement. It is the next dated check for any Muse mention, not a promised connector announcement.
Is Ticket Pia live?
No. Ticket Pia was named alongside Mercari and Money Forward ME on October 23, 2026. No live claim and no date have appeared for it in any sweep or search through October 31, and its own site carried no Muse mention in the October 31 searches.
What would prove Mercari is live?
A Mercari announcement under its own name, with product detail, like the ones Money Forward published on October 24 and 26. Or a dated first-person sighting of the Mercari connect option inside a Japan Muse account. A partner list or a launch recap proves neither.
When will this post be updated?
After November 12, 2026, with what Mercari's results did or did not say about Muse. The update runs even if nothing shipped.
Frequently Asked Questions
Q: Did Meta announce a Mercari launch date?
A: No. Meta named Mercari as a partner in progress at the Japan launch on October 23, 2026, with no date attached. November 12 is Mercari's own results date from its IR announcement. It belongs to Mercari's calendar, not to a Muse rollout schedule.
Q: Why did other listings say November 4?
A: Earnings calendars aggregate dates from many feeds, and the October 31 searches showed how loose that gets: alongside the TipRanks Mercari listing for November 4 sat a November 4 listing for Mercado Libre, a different company. Mercari's own announcement for this quarter gives November 12, and no Mercari source found in those searches gives November 4. When a calendar and the company disagree, the company wins.
Q: Why cover a connector that is not live yet?
A: Because the gap between named and live is where readers get misled. The Japan launch named three partners on day one. Eight days later, one is live per its vendor and two are not, and the one date attached to the story turned out to be wrong in the calendars carrying it. Writing that down, with dates, is the only way a reader checking in December can tell what was true in November.
Q: Could Mercari skip an announcement and just appear in the app?
A: It could, and that is what the reader sighting standard is for. If the connect option shows up in Japan accounts before any announcement, a dated first-person sighting is the evidence that would move this page. Until one appears, the status stays not live.
Q: Does Money Forward ME share bank credentials with Muse?
A: No, per Money Forward's own press release on October 26, 2026. The integration is data reference only, Muse cannot change ME data or move money through it, linked financial institution credentials are not shared with Muse, and the user can disconnect at any time. That wording is the vendor's. No in-app sighting in this site's record has tested it yet.
Q: Is this the same pattern as Singapore?
A: Close to it. Singapore launched on October 27, 2026 with eight named partners. Agoda reported itself live per partner press, and the other seven were described as connecting progressively. Japan is the smaller version of the same story: three named, one live per vendor, two still waiting.
